Yvonne Sutton Parker

Yvonne Sutton Parker, 82, of Sylva, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday afternoon August 7, 2022.
A native and a lifelong resident of Jackson County she was the daughter of the late Austin and Minnie Sutton.
She was a member of Locust Field Baptist Church and she enjoyed gardening and planting flowers. She cherished the time she had to play with her grandchildren and loved taking pictures of just about anything, especially her family. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Weldon Parker, and her siblings; Vance Sutton, AG Sutton, William Lee Sutton, Inez Smith and Hermie Sutton. 
She is survived by her sons; Travis Parker of Sylva, and Chad (Angie) Parker of Sylva
5 Grandchildren; Sara, Samantha, Camden, Shaylee and Coleman
2 Great Grandchildren; Logan and Mason
2 Brothers; Donald Sutton, and David (Brenda) Sutton both of Gastonia

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday August 12, 2022 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Revs. Rusty Wolfrey and Eddie Stillwell officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon till 2:00 pm prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Locust Field Cemetery.
