William Joe Coggins

William Joe Coggins, age 76, of Sylva died Saturday, April 14, 2012 at his home in Sylva. Mr. Coggins was born April 24, 1935 in Jackson County . He is the son of the late Dan and the late Darkie (Fox) Coggins and was preceded by 2 brothers and 3 sisters.. He served in the Navy. He was retired from Dayco corporation. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Doris Cogdill Coggins. He was a member at the Balsam Baptist Church. A funeral service will be at 2 PM Tuesday in the Balsam Baptist Church, with the Rev. Johnny Swanger and Rev. Mike Cogdill officiating. Burial will be in the church Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted.
