Willa Jean Nieman

Willa Jean Nieman, age 89, of Sylva died Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Mountain Trace Nursing Center of Sylva, NC. Willa was born September 3, 1926 in Sylva, NC. She is the daughter of the late William Douglas and the late Verta Viola (Dills) Davis. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Robert H. Nieman and all her siblings. She worked for the Federal Government as a Human Resource Manager. She was a patron of the arts and a supporter of the Cincinnati Ballet and Symphony. She loved travel and had traveled extensively. She is survived by several loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Appalachian Funeral Services in Sylva, NC on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 6:00 until 7:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, 701 East Rose Ave. St. Bernard, Ohio on Monday Sept. 14, 2015 at 12:00 noon. . .
