Wayne Charles Shuler

Wayne Charles Shuler, II, age 44, of Asheville died Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at John Keever Solace Center of Asheville, NC. Wayne was born March 3, 1970 in Haywood County. He is the son of the late Wayne Charles Shuler, I, and Carol (Bell) Smith. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bill and Mildred Shuler and his maternal grandmother, June Bell. He was employed as a concrete finisher. He loved people, life, and cooking. He was a member of Grace Tabernacle Church in Robbinsville, NC. In addition to his mother, Carol and stepfather, Bill Smith; he is survived by his wife: Joyce (Lane) Shuler; his daughter, Karissa Jones; his brother Grayson Shuler two nieces, Kendall and Keara; and one nephew, Dillon. The funeral will be held at 6:00 pm on Saturday, March 22 at Appalachian Funeral Services, 165 Skyland Drive, Sylva, NC with Rev. Jimmy Millsaps and Rev. Allen Rash officiating. Burial will be in Campground Cemetery, Whittier on Sunday, March 23 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends on Saturday, an hour before the funeral.
