Wayne Rhinehart

Wayne Rhinehart, Jr, 80, of Whittier, went home to be with his Lord Monday August 4, 2014 at Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County he was the son of the late Wayne Sr. and Martha Oxner Rhinehart. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and digging ginseng. Wayne was a member of Hyatts Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Nettie Victoria Rhinehart, and by a great granddaughter. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Nettie Ashe Rhinehart; five sons- James Edward, Jerry Lee, Kenneth Wayne, Michael Ray, Scotty Dale Rhinehart and his wife Deborah all of Whittier; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; and one sister- Margaret Wilson of Whittier. The family will receive friends Saturday evening August 9 from 5 until 7:00 PM at Appalachian Funeral Services. Burial will be private. . .
