Walter Eugene Rogers

Walter E. Rogers, 81, of Dillsboro, passed away Monday evening August 21, 2023
A native and a lifelong resident of Jackson County, he was the son of the late Jimmy and Bonnie Rogers. A U.S. Army Veteran, he was also a member of Sylva Seventh-day Adventist Church. He loved raising his garden and being outdoors and enjoyed his friends at the Senior Center and every morning at Bojangles. 
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother Hal
He is survived by his nephew; Randy (Gail ) Gibbs of Franklin
Close friends; Bobby Burns and his son Trevor and their families.
A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm Friday August 25, 2023 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm till 2:00 prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery, Long Branch.
