Vivian B. England

Vivian Bradley England, of Whittier, NC went home to be with her Lord and Savior when she passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the age of 87.

Vivian was born February 7,1937 in Jackson Co where she lived until 1955 when she married Jack England. She lived, worked and raised a family in Michigan until 1986. While in Michigan she worked with Jacobson’s Floral and Pontiac Motors. Upon retirement she moved back to NC with her husband and built a retirement home in Whitter where she lived until her passing. She was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church where she served and was a member of the choir.

Vivian loved flowers, had an incredible green thumb and a skill for making floral arrangements. She was an impressive cook and had a gift for hospitality. In her later years she loved watching the birds outside her window and cooking shows.

Preceded in death by her husband Jack England and her mother Lessie Bradley Patton. Vivian is survived by her children Jackie England Moore (Bill) and Jeff England (Mim). She leaves behind 5 granddaughters, Kelly Moore (Daniel), Debbie England, Emily England Demsky (John), Kayla Moore and Hannah England Carter (Ben).

The family will receive friends for a one-hour visitation at Appalachian Funeral Home on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 10:00 am, the service will follow at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Thomas Memorial Cemetery, Whittier, NC.

The family has requested donations to be made to the Qualla Fire Department.
