Virginia (Ginny) Sapp Orr

With great sorrow, the family of Virginia (Ginny) Sapp Orr announces her passing on November 6, 2023.  They rejoice knowing she is now playing piano and singing in God’s heavenly choir.

Ginny loved singing and playing the piano to glorify her Savior.  She played the piano for several churches and was faithful to all.

Ginny was born in Bassett, VA to her parents the late John and Alma Williams.  She was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Ernest (J.W.) Sapp, her second husband, Vernon O. Orr, and beloved grandson, Jonathan Michael Sapp.  Ginny was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, James, Clyde, Charlotte, Barbara and Sharon.

She will be dearly missed by her family; sons, Jay Van  Sapp (Pam), Winston-Salem, NC, Ronnie Lee Sapp (Shelly), Burlington, NC, and Robert Michael Sapp, Cornelius, NC; daughters, Joyce Lynn Murrin (Rick), Whittier, NC and Sheila Proctor, Trinity, NC; grandchildren, Terry Gaither, (Tina), Danny Proctor (Laura), Jessica Williford (Nathan), Heather Sapp, David Sapp (Ann Bradley), Jared Sapp (Diana) and Cody White (Julie); great-grandchildren, Linzey, Landon,Preston, Toby, Ace, Lenoir and Bennett.  She had many special nieces and nephews and sweet, special friends.

A celebration of her life will be held on December 3, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Central Tabernacle Church in Winston-Salem, NC.
