Virgilene Olga Moore Wilson, 82, of Glenville, died Friday January 8, 2016 at Highland Cashiers Hospital in Highlands, NC. Mrs. Wilson was born February 2, 1933 in Jackson County. She is the daughter of the late Vascar Harrison and the late Maxine Victoria (Bryans) Moore. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ray Wilson; a sister, Hilda Ness; brothers, Buck, Reginald, Jerry, Ken, Fred, Tom, William Henry, and Bobby Levian Moore, and a son, Harold Bedford Watson.
She worked as a packaging agent for the Cashiers Plastics Plant. She was a member of the Glenville Wesleyan Church, she enjoyed crocheting, quilting, shopping at thrift stores, and loved babies.
She is survived by a daughter, Etrulia McConnell, a son, Perry Watson, grandchildren April Bruch, Chad Watson, Victoria, Elizabeth, and Katarina McConnell; 10 step-grandchildren; an adopted daughter, Kimberly Stewart; sisters, Rachael Vargas and Margaret McDougal, a step-sister, Deborah Freels, and a daughter-in-law, Sandra Watson.
The funeral will be held 3:00 pm on Wednesday, January 13 at Glenville Wesleyan Church, burial will follow in Glenville Wesleyan Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2:00 until 3:00 pm prior to service at the church. Friends and family are invited to fellowship afterwards at the Glenville Community Center.
