Timothy Paul Smathers

Timothy Paul Smathers, age 55 of the Balsam Community, passed away on Monday, August 29th, 2022, at his home. Tim was born on January 11, 1967, to Pauline Smathers and the late, Bob Smathers.

In addition to his mother, Tim is survived by his sister, Kathy Smathers; brothers, Bobby (Myra) and Kevin (late wife Ginger); nephews, Jonathan Smathers (Peyton), Josh Smathers, and Caleb Smathers (Anna); nieces, Amy Shepherd (Chad) and Lydia Sitton (Austin); great nieces, Kailey Shepherd, Harmony Sitton; and great nephew, Andrew Smathers. Tim is also survived by his girlfriend, Beth Edwards.

A private Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, September 1st, 2022, In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Appalachian Funeral Services to cover funeral expenses.
