Stacey Wayne Trantham

Stacey W. Trantham, a loving father, son and brother passed away on January 17, 2025 after a period of declining health. Stacey will be forever remembered by those who knew him for his love of wrestling and video games. 

Stacey is survived by the light of his life, his son, Tristan Trantham. Stacey is also survived by his mother Arlene Trantham, sister Amanda Moody (Kenneth), and numerous aunts uncles and cousins. He additionally leaves behind a best friend, Tony Chastain who shared in their wild eating adventures together. 

Stacey was preceded in death by his father Wayne Trantham, maternal grandparents Eldon and Margaret Mathis, and paternal grandparents Phil and Mary-Bell Trantham, as well as many other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Stacey will be forever deeply missed.

Stacey’s family will receive friends at Appalachian Funeral Services from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 25, 2025 with a funeral service to follow. His burial will take place immediately following the funeral at Mathis Cemetery in Tuckasegee, NC.

Appalachian Funeral Services is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to help cover the costs of the service. Appalachian Funeral Services will be accepting donations on behalf of the family.
