Shirley Hughes Henson

Shirley Hughes Henson, age 80 of Addie community, passed away on Sunday January 1, 2023.   She was born on April 25, 1942, in Jackson County, to the late Claude and Frances Hughes. 

A very Christian woman, Shirley was a loyal member of Buff Creek Baptist Church, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She enjoyed doing crossword  puzzles and loved animals, especially her cat! 

She will be dearly missed by her loving daughter, Tammy Stewart; granddaughter, Cassie Stewart; great-granddaughter, Serenity Cooper; and several nieces and nephews. Shirley is also survived by her cat, Luna.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Henson; brother, D.C. Hughes; and sisters, Wilma C. Boyer, Patricia Cochran.

A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday January 11, 2023 at Buff Creek Baptist Church with the Pastor Kent Loudermilk officiating.  The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 noon till 1:00 prior to the Service at the Church.
