Sarah Lorene Green

. Sarah Lorene Smith Green, 84, of Whittier NC (formerly of Gastonia) went home to be with her Lord in the early morning on Wednesday, August 25th 2015. Sarah was a member of Whittier Church of God. She loved gardening, stamp and coin collecting, and quilt making. Sarah made hundreds of quilts for those in need. She is preceded in death by husband, Emmett Earl Green, son William Henry Green, sisters Ophelia Sapp and Francis Hardee, and brothers Ronnie Nix Sr. and Fletcher Smith. She is survived by a sister, Lenora Vassie Smith-Long-Davis, daughters Louella Green Beach, Sue Irene Green Thomas, son Randall Dean Green, grandchildren Dwayne Edward Murphy, James Floyd Hannah, Lore Beach Spivey, Kenneth Glenn Beach Jr., Christopher Brian Green, Johnathan Earl Green, and eight great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, August 30th in the chapel at Appalachian Funeral Services,165 Skyland Drive, Sylva. Family visitation from 2:00pm until 3:00pm immediately followed by service. Internment will be at Hensley Cemetery. . .
