Sandra Marie Norman

Sandra (Sandy) Marie Norman, age 66, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014 at Mission St. Joseph's Asheville Specialty Hospital with long-time friend and caregiver, Judy Singleton, by her side. A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the Late Clyde and Georgia Parris Norman. She was also preceded in death by two sisters; Carolyn Latham and Joyce Anderson. She is survived by one sister, Clydie Buchanan and husband Johnny of Sylva. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Sandy loved sports and was the captain of the basketball team, the Golden Eagles, for two years. She loved playing music, golf and had a passion for flying. She made her solo flight in Franklin. She also enjoyed riding her motorcycle. Sandy had a special little friend she played with every day and loved. Willis was his name, who misses her very much. A graveside service will be Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Norman Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Putnam officiating.
