Ruth Buchanan

Ruth Evelyn Buchanan, 86, passed away February 13 in Sylva, NC. Ruth was a lifelong resident of Webster and enjoyed helping others in her career with the Sylva-Webster school system.

Ruth was well loved by her friends and family and is survived by her sister Grace Dettmar, brother William Buchanan, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her parents William Tyler Buchanan and Rhoda Green Buchanan as well as her sisters Wilma Austin and Ellen Dillard.

Ruth's Celebration of Life gathering will be held Saturday, February 22 at 1pm at Appalachian Funeral Home.
