Roger Dale "Boggie" Melton

Roger "Boggie" Dale Melton, 74, of the Pumpkintown Community went home to be with the Lord Friday morning July 28, 2023
A proud U.S.Army Veteran, he served with the 82nd Airborne out of Ft. Bragg.
He attended Zion Hill Baptist Church and was an avid hunter and fisherman. When he wasn't hunting he enjoyed spending time with his family at all their gatherings. 
He is survived by his wife of 131/2 years Bonnie Mathis Melton
Son- Allen (Dassy) Fortner
5 Grandchildren; Ethan (Kendra), Miranda (Jeff), Katie (Josh), Chris (Autumn) and Luke
2 Great Grandchildren; Ellis and Kinley
2 Brothers; Gary (Sara) Melton
                     Phillip (Ann) Melton
Sister; Doris (Glen) Deitz
and several nieces and nephews also survive
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday August 1, 2023 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Revs. Eddie Stillwell and Ethan Fortner officiating
The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 noon till 1:00 prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mathis Cemetery
