Roger Dale Brooks

Roger Brooks, age 65, of Cashiers, NC passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at his home. He was the son of Martha B. Hoffmann. 

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. A native of Jackson County, NC, he met his wife while in the Air Force and moved to Indiana. He later returned to Jackson County, worked in the landscaping business and became passionate about saving the hemlocks. Roger eventutually created his own company, Green Trees, and continued his quest to preserve our native hemlocks.  

Roger is survived by two sons; Michael Dale Brooks of Ann Arbor, MI and Christopher Theodore Brooks of Lafayette, IN. He is also survived by his mother; Martha B. Hoffmann, one sister; Sharon Holt, and one brother; Scott Watson. 

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
