Robert "Bob" Ray Taylor

Robert “Bob” Ray Taylor, age 69 of Sylva NC, passed away on Monday October 24, 2022.   He was born on June 23, 1953, in Jackson County, to the late John and Gladys (Gragg) Taylor. 

Bob worked as a carpenter for most of his life.  He was involved in the construction of many homes in Jackson County.  Bob's passion was fishing, but he also enjoyed watching football, especially the Atlanta Falcons and NC Tar Heels.

He will be dearly missed by his loving siblings, Brenda (L.C.) McGaha, Norma Cunningham, Sandy (Larry) Harris; life partner, Hazel Sawyer, and her grandson, Isaac; stepdaughter, Tammy (Willie) Michaels; grandson, Tylor; great-grandson, Hunter; sister-in-law, Glenda Taylor; several nieces and nephews; and many extended family members
 
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James Taylor, Randy Taylor; and brothers-in-law, Jim Cunningham and Jim Keener.

A Memorial Service for Bob will take place at 2:00PM, Friday, October 28, 2022, at Appalachian Funeral Services, Sylva NC. Rev. Eddie Stillwell, officiating.
