Robert Wesley Hooper

Robert Wesley Hooper, age 69 of Cullowhee, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2020, at home surrounded by his family.   He was born on March 9, 1951, in Jackson County, NC to the late Neal and Rosetta (Young) Hooper.

He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and riding his mule.  He loved the Lord and spending time with his family.

          Robert will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Janet (Putnam); children, Robert Allen “Todd” (Lindsey) Hooper, John Wesley Hooper, Cynthia Rogers; siblings, Boyd Wayne Hooper, Glenda (Richard) Blanton; grandchildren, John Chandler, Gary Chandler, R.J. Hooper; and great-grandson, Ryan Chandler.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Regena Nealene Lynch.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm – 2:00pm, Monday, August 24, 2020, with a Funeral Service at 2:00pm, at Yellow Mountain Baptist Church, 34 Mill Creek Rd, Cullowhee.  Interment will follow at Stewart Cemetery, Cullowhee.
