Robert Willis Anders

Robert Willis Anders, 81, of Sylva, passed away Wednesday August 30, 2023 at his home after a 3 year struggle with cancer. 
He was born September 25, 1941 in Houston, Texas. Bob was an Eagle in the Boy Scouts when he was younger. In the late 70's he moved to Jackson County to be Director of the Computer Center at Western Carolina University. After retirement he devoted his time to restoring and building old cars and trucks gathering many friends along the way. 

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Brenda
His brother Glenn and his wife Kay
and many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Love goes to best friends Terry Dillard, Weazle Green and Sam Cogdill, who stood by Bob thru thick and thin.
Bob now joins Curtis Allison and Warner Bradley. Heaven will never be the same. 
Many thanks and appreciation goes to Dr. Beth Dixon, Four Seasons Hospice and the Messeno Cancer Clinic for their gentle care. 

A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM Friday September 1, 2023 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with Tom Frazier officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 noon till 1:00 prior to the Service at the Funeral Home.
