Rita Saunders McGraw

Rita Saunders McGraw, age 53, passed away peacefully at home on October 26, 2022. Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Harley and Dallie Saunders. 

She loved taking care of flowers and spending time with her grandkids.

Survivors in addition to her husband, James McGraw, are four daughters, Heather, Felicia, Nicole, and Trista; one son, Colby and ten grandkids, Stewart, Airika, Tylor, Sophie, Ben, Virginia, Alyssa, Waya, Willow, and River. Also surviving are two sisters, Anna Alvey and Berniece Queen; one brother, J.D. Saunders; one sister-in-law, Tammy Hoyle; and brother-in-laws, Chuck Alvey and Rick Queen (deceased). Nieces and nephews also surviving are, Christy Queen, Justin Saunders, Kevin Queen, Michael Alvey, and Kimberly Burrell.   

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Appalachian Funeral Services in Sylva, NC.
