Rebecca Ann Shuler

Rebecca Ann Shuler (Ledford), age 80 of Sylva NC,  went to her heavenly home on Sunday March 6, 2022.   She was born on March 20, 1941, in Macon County, to the late Frank and Annie (Cloer) Ledford. 

Becky loved children and dedicated her life to helping raise over 80 children during her lifetime.  She loved her church family and belonged to Calvary Baptist Church where she oversaw the card ministry. She was an avid gardener who loved her flowers and birds. She cherished her family and loved spending time with them.

She will be dearly missed by her loving children, Teresa (Robin) Starrs, David (Cindy) Shuler, Melissa Shuler; sisters, Linda (Lee) Tope, Mary Ledford Mashburn, Frankie (Marvin) Mashburn; grandchildren, Shane Melton, Dustin (Amanda) Melton, Megan (Dustin) Cabe, Hope Shuler, David Christopher Shuler, Joshua Shuler; great-grandchildren, Brittney, Garrett, Rilee, Macie, Kynndle, and Larkyn.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Shuler; son, Tommy Shuler; and brother-in-law, James Mashburn.. 

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at New Hope Baptist Church, 524 Old Settlement Rd, Sylva.  Interment will follow at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
