Raymond Hooper

Raymond Hooper, age 82, of Cashiers died Friday, September 26, 2014 at home in Cashiers. Raymond was born May 11, 1932 in Jackson County, NC. He is the son of the late Fred and the late Leona (Bryson) Hooper and was preceded in death by three brothers Lloyd, Neil and Herman and one sister Kelly Hooper. He was retired from High Hampton Inn as a Ground Keeper. He was a member of the Bull Pen Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Rosie (Golden) Hooper and one brother Clyde Hooper. A funeral; service will be held Monday September 29, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Hamburg Baptist Church with the Rev Everett Wilson, Rev. Nathan Johnson and Rev. Johnny Norris. The family will receive friends Sunday September 28, 2014 from 5pm until 7 pm at Hamburg Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Shook Cemetery. . .
