Patricia Ruby Greene

Patricia Ruby Carmichael Greene, 73, of Roundhill Community passed away April 30, 2020. She was born in Washington D.C. to the late Robert F. Carmichael Sr. and Annie Ruth Strickland. Residing in Bryson City since 1978, she enjoyed living here and considered it her home. Some might remember her as a founding member of the Smoky Mountain Community Theater in her many performances. She worked at the Nantahala Outdoor Center for over 30 years. After retirement, she loved to relax on her deck and admire the mountain views. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Gary A. Greene; two children, Sheryl Greene of Greensboro and Robert(Melissa) Greene of Whittier; two step-children, Sarah Cochran and Gary A. Greene Jr of Bryson City; six grandchildren, Alex, Amy, Roberta, Wendy, Aubrey, and Zane; and four great-grandchildren. No services will be held at this time. A memorial will be planned for a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Smoky Mountain Community Theater.
