Patricia B.Brominski, age 70, of Sylva, passed away peacefully at Harris Regional Hospital Tuesday November 19, 2013 with her husband and daughter by her side.
Born July 17, 1943 in San Antonio, Texas. she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Anne Barrett. She is survived by her husband Emil J. Brominski, daughter Eden D. Savaglio, her husband Francesco Savaglio, two grandsons John Joseph Sholly and Dominic Joseph Savaglio, and her brother Paul T. Barrett.
She spent her early life in Indianapolis, In. Eventually attending William Woods College, Wilton, MI where she met her husband. They married two years later and began a life with the Army. In the 50 years they were together they moved 17 times to wonderful places as Anchorage Alaska to Izmir, Turkey. She adapted well to all the moving and no matter where she was made it a home and welcomed all. She enjoyed assisting other military wives through any difficult times including their husbands being away from home and or deployed to serve their country. Upon her husband’s retirement they moved here to Sylva.
Patricia or Pat as most knew her by was a very kind spirited, spunky and often times labeled a sassy woman. She was employed by Ray’s Florist in downtown Dillsboro as a book keeper and greeter and loved the people she worked with as well as all the customers. She was very passionate about her landscaping, her family and her cat Earl. Many who knew her loved her warmth, smile and wit.
She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and dedicated herself to all. She will be sadly missed but her memory will live strong in those who knew her.
Memorial services were held Friday November 22, 2013 at Appalachian Funeral Services, Sylva, NC. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to The Community Table, PO Box 62, Dillsboro, NC 28725.
