Oscar Olguin Gomez

Oscar Olguin Gomez, age 17 of Cullowhee NC, passed away on Wednesday May 31, 2023.   He was born on October 4, 2005, in Hildago, Mexico. 

Oscar was the oldest son of Isabel. He was a student at Cullowhee Elementary for three years and moved to Smoky Mountain High School to complete his studies.  He was in the 11^th Grade.

He was a very loving young man, and he was loved deeply by all his friends and family.  He enjoyed video games and hanging out with his friends.

His mother, father, and family will always remember him with much love.

The family will receive friends from 5:00PM – 8:00PM on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Appalachian Funeral Services, Sylva NC.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM, Wednesday, June 7, 2023,  at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 22 Bartlett St, Sylva NC.
