Olen Glenn Revis

Olen Revis, age 83, of Sylva passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, he was the son of the late Robert Lon and Amy Bumgarner Revis. He was a member of Sylva First Baptist Church and attended Loves Chapel Methodist Church up until his health declined. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers; Howard, Paul, Bruce, Kenneth, Johnny and Jack; sisters, Georgia Coltrane and Inez Bradsher Olen enjoyed woodworking and retired from A & P Supermarket after forty-three years. Surviving are his wife of fifty-two years, Gail Leatherwood Revis; one son, Mark Revis of Sylva; one grandson, Harvey Revis, who he loved dearly; three sisters, Phoebe Hooper of Cullowhee, Betty Taylor (Jim) of Louisiana, and Shirley Moses of Sylva; two sister-in-laws; Peggy Revis of Sylva and Nancy Revis of Franklin and In-Laws- Bill (Gretchen) Leatherwood and Karen (Paul) Ingram both of Sylva Private services will be held at a later date.
