Minnie Lee Moore

Minnie Lee Moore, age 83, of Sylva passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014. Minnie is the daughter of the late Claude and Dorothy Beasley Moore. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers; James, Paul, Everett, and Henry Moore as well as four sisters; Ferbie Parker, Lizzie Parker, Martha Franklin and Lillie Moore. She is survived by one brother, Joe Moore of Sylva and several nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own. Minnie was a faithful CNA for many years at Skyland Care Center and was a loving caretaker by nature. She also was a member of East Sylva Baptist Church. Minnie was very dedicated to her parents and loved taking care of those she loved. She always enjoyed walking her dog, Abby, and considered Abby her baby. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with Rev. Charles Dean and Rev. Stewman officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Fairview Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Minnie’s name to East Sylva Baptist Church, 61 Faith Ave., Sylva, NC 28779.
