Mary Sue Torrans

Mary Sue Pruitt Torrans, age 57, of Sylva, NC passed away early Wednesday morning September 16, 2015 at Mission Hospital in Asheville. She is survived by her parents J.D. and Martha Pruitt. Mary had a passion for cosmetology. She was a loving mother and daughter and enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents she is survived by one son Joshua Ellis Torrans and wife Jessica and one daughter Emily Sue Torrans; one sister Margie Harris and husband Michael; one brother J.D. Pruitt Jr.; Three nephews Jeremy Harris, Jesse Pruitt and Chad Harris; one niece Shay Pruitt Lossiah. A memorial service will be held Saturday September 19, 2015 at 12:00pm at Whittier Church of God with Rev. Ned Pressley and Rev. Shane Silvers officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00am to 12:00pm one hour prior to the service at the church. Appalachian Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
