Mary Louretta Sluder

Louretta Ensley Sluder, 94, of Sylva, passed away Saturday July 25, 2015. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Erastus and Rebecca Ensley. She enjoyed making biscuits at the Jarrett House, loved gardening and spending time with her family and was an avid Duke fan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ervin Sluder, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by 2 daughters- Audrey Ann Jones (David) of Pinehurst, NC Peggy Bryson of Sylva 2 Sons- Johnny Sluder of Sylva Tommy Sluder of (Barbara) of Sylva 7 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild also survive Graveside Services will be held 2:30 PM Tuesday July 28 at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Sylva with Rev. Earl Holden officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Tuesday prior to the service at Appalachian Funeral Services. .
