Mary Beatrice (Haywood) Nolan, born September 7, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri, joined the angels on March 21, 2017. She is survived by her husband Herbert Nolan, children Lorrie Masset (Dennis), John Nolan (Camala), Terri Rogers (Reggie), seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Preceded by Richard Nolan (Kaye).
Mary was a loving wife to Herb for 66 years and a doting mother to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She made a friend of everyone she met and was respected and admired by all. She was a resident of Dillsboro, North Carolina for 34 years and an active member of Dogwood Crafters where she served as President and a board member for many years. Mary served as a chairperson for the Dillsboro Historical Committee. She was a very creative woman; a quilter and seamstress and loved researching hers and Herb's families through genealogy.
There will be no formal service, but her family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to John F. Keever Solace and Hospice in Asheville, North Carolina where she received tender care in January of this year.
