Mary Lee Mills

Mary Lee Robinson Mills, 70, of Sylva, passed away Monday evening September 28, 2015. Mary was the daughter of the late Larry and Margaret Lane Robinson. She graduated in 1963 from Swain County High School where she was a member of the marching band and also played Basketball. She enjoyed reading and having lunches with her high school friends but most of all she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a sister Joan Wright. She is survived by her husband of 48 years Robert Mills 4 Daughters- Lee Anne Burrell (Kenneth) of Sylva Angela Barfield Oates of Asheville Paula Coggins (David) of Sylva Cindy Messer (Jeff) of Canton 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren 1 Sister- Lane Robinson Herron of Whittier 1 Aunt- Louise Lane of Hazelwood also survives A Memorial Service will be held 6:00 PM Thursday October 1 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. JD Grant officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 prior to the Service at the Funeral Home.
