Margaret Anne Henson Wikle

Margaret “Anne” Henson Wikle, age 88 of Sylva NC, passed away on Sunday October 2, 2022.   She was born on February 25, 1934, in Jackson County, to the late Rufus B. and Elizabeth Bumgarner Henson. 

Anne was a graduate of Webster High School and retired from Buster Brown after 42 years.  She was a member of Loves Chapel Methodist Church.  She enjoyed shopping, spending time with the grandchildren, and more shopping.

She will be dearly missed by her sister, Betty Gosnell; grandson, Justin Wikle; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. 
 
Anne was preceded in death by her parents; Loving husband, Harold Dean Wikle; son, James Wikle; brother and wife, Philip (Judy) Henson; and brother-in-law, Roy Gosnell.

The family would like to thank Skyland Care Center and Four Seasons Hospice for their compassionate care.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00PM on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Appalachian Funeral Services, Sylva NC, with a Funeral Service at 3:00PM. Revs. Mark Lawing and Avery Brown, officiating.   Interment will follow at Loves Chapel Cemetery, Lovedale Rd., Sylva.
