Marcia Jean Wagner

Marcia Jean "Marcy" Wagner, age 42, of Sylva, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015. She was born to Daniel Gonnella and Carol Hofmann Gonnella on January 20, 1973, in Paducah, KY. In addition to her parents, Marcy is survived by her husband, Robert Wagner, and her sons, Robbie and Cortland Wagner. Also surviving are sisters Jill Proffitt (Brian) and Jennie Hirtzel (Carey), brother Todd Gonnella (Courtney), nephews Logan and Casey Proffitt, and Austin Hirtzel, and nieces Lexi Hirtzel, and Alli and Abby Gonnella. Marcy attended Mother of Good Counsel Elementary and Ballard High School in Louisville, KY, and Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis, IN, and is also formerly of Naperville, IL, Tampa, FL and Las Vegas, NV. She was active in Autism Awareness and Special Olympics. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday February 7, 2015, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sylva, NC, with Pastor Joshua Voitus officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until noon at the Church. Burial to follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to your local Autism, Special Olympics, or Epilepsy Foundation Chapter. . .
