Lucy Jones

Lucy Jones, age 91, of Whittier, NC, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late J.C. Jones and the daughter of the late Willie and Pallie Davis. She was a long-time member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. Lucy loved working in her flowers and taking care of her home. She dearly loved her family. She is survived by three daughters; Anna Stuart, Juanita Lindsey, and Freida Brooks (Rick Coggins) and one son; Candler Jones (Maggie Sutton). She is also survived by four grandchildren with one grandson also preceding her in death, nine great grandchildren and one great, great grandson. One sister; Meleda Wheatley also survives along with several nieces and nephews. Graveside services for Lucy will be private due to the nature of the current pandemic. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Lucy’s name to the charity of your choice.
