Lucile Cagle

Lucile Cagle, age 87, of Sylva passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015. Lucile was born February 24, 1928 in Sylva, NC. She is the daughter of the late Garland and the late Carma (Tatham) Reed. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Carl R. Cagle, Jr; two sisters, Edith Seay and Dorothy Sutton; and a brother, Lyman Reed. Lucile was a homemaker, she loved trips to Asheville with her sisters, spending time with her grandchildren, and her animals. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sylva. She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Cagle Laws of Charlotte; a son, Mark and wife Gail Cagle of Sylva; six grandchildren, Jason, Matthew and Brent Laws, Chelsea Pressley, Drew Cagle, and Hayley Cagle and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held 3:00 pm on Sunday, April 26 at Appalachian Funeral Services, 165 Skyland Drive, Sylva, NC with Rev. Kent Lowdermilk officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Gardens, Sylva. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 26 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Appalachian Funeral Services. .
