Louise Shook

Louise Shook, 74, of Tuckasegee, went Home with the Lord on Thursday, September 19, 2024, following an extended illness. She and her loving parents Eldon and Annie Shook were reunited in Heaven. 

Louise was a caring individual who loved her family and friends; especially the fellowship a enjoying a nice meal together. She loved singing gospel songs and was a member with Community Church of God of Tuckasegee. Over the years, she happily babysat and cared for various children in her community. Louise had spent the last year at Skyland Terrace and Rehabilitation of Waynesville, where she loved to play Bingo and other fun group activities with fellow residents. 

Left to cherish Louise’s memory are her beloved sisters Norma Hightower and husband Larry, Erinda Shuler and husband Kenny, Evadean Frady, and husband Ronnie, and Norcella Massengale; two nieces and four nephews. She also leaves behind several special cousins. 

A funeral service will be held at 2pm, Tuesday, September 24, 2024, in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services of Sylva, NC with Pastor Roger Luker and Pastor Rick Lowing; a visitation will be available one hour prior. A graveside service will follow at Shook Cemetery of Tuckasegee, NC.
