Louise Gunter

Louise Gunter, age 71, of Whittier, passed away, Monday, June 15, 2015 at Tasali Care Center. She is the daughter of the late James Edward and Elizabeth Sheets Price. She was a member of Whittier Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and being with her family. Louise is survived by her husband of 48 years, Kenneth Gunter, three children; Patricia Gunter of Cherokee, Greg Gunter of Raleigh and Michael Gunter of Bryson City. Six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, four brothers and one sister also survive. A funeral service will be held Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. James Gunter officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 am, prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Gunter Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, Breast Cancer, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718
