Linda Ellen Woodard

Linda Ellen Woodard, age 80 of Bryson City NC, passed away on Wednesday August 3, 2022.   She was born on May 17, 1942, in Swain County, to the late Burl and Joyce Mildred (Cochran) Woodard. 

Linda lived in Burkeville, VA for 55 years.  She volunteered at the Burkeville Squad Shop for many years, raising money for Emergency Services.  She was quite a character and dearly loved by all who knew her.  Linda will be sadly missed.

She survived by her sisters, Linda Kay Oliver (Bryson City), Eloise Gibson (Travelers Rest, SC); brothers, James, Calvin, Neavil, & William Woodard (all of Bryson City); and many nieces & nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mae Cottril; and brother, John Woodard.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 – 3:30PM on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Appalachian Funeral Services, Sylva NC., with a Memorial Service at 3:30PM. Rev. John Parks, officiating
