Letha Gertrude Ramsey

Mrs. Letha G. Ramsey, 91, Sylva died Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Harris Regional Hospital. She was a retired homemaker, loving wife, and mother of five children, who were her life. She was born October 31, 1922, in Parrishville, New York, daughter of Porter and Josephine Webster .Surviving are two daughters, Pearl Ranieri of Altamont, NY, Rose Ramsey of Acworth, GA, and two sons, Paul of Sylva, NC an George of Canton, GA. A daughter, Betty Ledford, died before her. She has nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. A memorial service will be held Monday, July 7, 2014 at 2:00 pm, at Appalachian Funeral Services in Sylva, NC, with Rev. Ron Allen officiating. A funeral will be held in Norwood, NY at a later date, burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the activities department at Mountain Trace, 417 Mountain Trace Road, Sylva, NC 28779, attention: Claudia King.
