Lela Hall Allen, 92, formerly of Sylva, passed away Sunday March 2, 2014 in Fernwood, Idaho. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence Mantival Hall and Martha Anne Bryson Hall. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by one daughter, Rosa Lee McGaha and one son, James Edward McGaha. She is also preceded in death by three husbands; Arling McGaha, Ed Cope and Harley Allen as well as four brothers and four sisters. Lela is survived by one daughter, Arlene Ferguson and husband Carl of Fernwood, Idaho and three sons; William McGaha and wife Katherine of Whittier, North Carolina, Thomas Cope of Fernwood, Idaho and Earl McGaha and wife Jackie of Fernwood, Idaho. 19 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren also survive. She lived in Jackson County most of her life a, and a friend to all that knew her. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to quilt, grow a garden and can. She loved to be around people and spend time wither family and friends. She will be missed. A funeral service will be held Sunday, March 9, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services, with Carl Stepp officiating. Family will receive friends from one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Buff Creek Cemetery. Pall Bearers will be Floyd Parris, Jeff Nations, Morty Bacon, Hubert Ammons, Steve Mintz, and Steve Pannell. . .
