Kurstan Janeen Shook

Kurstan Janeen Shook passed away on the night of October 6th, 2024, due to injuries from a car accident. This was just 8 days after her 17th birthday.

Kurstan was one of a kind she was a fun loving kindhearted free spirit. Kurstan had a smile that would light up the room. Kurstan was a magnet for children and babies. Kurstan could out fish many.

Kurstan loved spending time with her friends and family especially her brother’s Spencer Shook, Jasper Shook and her sister Serenity Shook and possibly her favorite was her infant nephew Matthew Shook. She had her own individual bond with her Grandparents (Paternal) Bob and Diann Shook (Maternal) Luke and Patricia Goetting. Kurstan had a special bond with her parents Jerry and Bridgett Shook.

Kurstan had a very large circle of friends and family she will be missed by many. FOREVER 17 BEAUTIFUL ANGEL!!

A funeral service for Kurstan will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday October 9th in the chapel of Appalachian funeral services. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 prior to the service. All are welcome to attend. Burial will follow at Hooper Cemetery.
