Kristian (Kristy)Kelley Baucom

Kristian Kelley Baucom (Kristy) of Myrtle Beach, SC, went home to her Heavenly Father on March 29, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Kristy was born on February 3, 1971 in Sylva, to Robert and Jeannie Kelley.

Kristy attended Sylva-Webster High School and was a graduate of Saint Mary's School in Raleigh. She also earned an Associate Degree in Hospitality from Horry-Georgetown Technical College.

Kristy is survived by her children, Avery and Brooks; her mother, Jeannie Kelley; brother, Michael Kelley (Robin); nephews, David and Drayton; niece, Taylor; her fiance, James Lilly; and an abundance of friends, who loved her dearly.

Kristy was preceded in death by her father, Robert Douglas Kelley, Jr.; her brother, Robert Douglas  Kelley, III; and her beloved dog, Duke.

Kristy, above all, loved her children and her community. She was known for her ability to bring light to any situation. Her smile and kindness will be missed immensely. She was a successful business owner, retiring shortly before her passing.

A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to United Christian Ministries, 191 Skyland Drive, Sylva, NC 28779.
