Kathrine Marie Coggins

Katherine Marie Coggins, 68, of Sylva passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016. She was a kind and loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She loved spending time with her Sidney. She loved coloring, sewing, crafting, reading and writing her own short stories and poems. She had a delightful and witty sense of humor. She was a very strong woman who was always ready for a challenge, and a great will to live for her children and grandchildren. She always gave her unconditional love to her kids and friends. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Charles Lester Coggins; two sons Daniel Ingle and David Ingle, and his children, Amber, Caleb, Tiffany, Micheal, Carrissa; two daughters, Connie Crawford, and Anne Masson, and her children Sidney Roy, and Blake and Jordan Masson; one step-son, Steve Coggins and wife Theresa; one sister Darlene Fields; one brother Jim Crawford; loving baby pepper; and very special friends, Judy Singleton, Kay & James Monteith, and Linda & Felix Barnes. Multiple nieces and nephews also survive. She is preceded in death by her mother, Katy Tarlton and step-father Earl Tarlton; father Jim Crawford, Sr.; one brother Richard Lipe; and one sister Brenda Robinson. A memorial service will be held on Sunday September 25th, 2016 at 2pm in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends at the funeral home from 1 pm-2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Appalachian Funeral Home to help with the cost of services. Appalachian Funeral Services has been entrusted with all arrangements.
