Katherine Ann Conner

Katherine Ann Conner, 72, of Tuckasegee passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Hayes P. and Ella Mae Pollard Wiggins. Katherine enjoyed cooking and canning and was retired from Western Carolina University’s Brown Cafeteria. She was a member of Trout Creek Baptist Church. Everybody who met her fell in love with her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Donald Wiggins. She is survived by her husband of 52 years George Conner 3 Sons- Alan Conner and his wife Patty of San Antonio ,Texas Adrian Conner of Tuckasegee Douglas Conner and his wife Ashley of Tuckasegee 5 Grandsons- Mac, Clint, Dalton, Douglas Jr. and Brett 1 Granddaughter- Jasmine 3 Brothers- Earnest of Tuckasegee, Eugene of Cullowhee and Ronald Dean Wiggins of Tuckasegee 2 Sisters- Lois Stephens and Linda Wiggins Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday March 10 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Johnny Norris officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 until 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Addie Cemetery . .
