Kalub Houston

Kalub Houston, 15 year old Woodward High School student, lost his fight with depression on November 30, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at the First Methodist Church Woodward with Pastor Don Anderson officiating. He will be buried at the Fairview Gardens Cemetery in Sylva, North Carolina. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Thomas Kalub Houston was born on April 17, 2008 in Davenport, Iowa to Kye Kormann and Kristan Lee (Houston) Langdon. Kalub grew up in Iowa, North Carolina, and Arkansas before moving to Woodward. He attended school in Clarksville, Arkansas and was currently attending Woodward High School.

He enjoyed football, motor cross racing, and working on his square body. Kalub was always up for hanging out with his friends and he was always smiling and happy.

He is survived by his mom Kristan Langdon and dad Joe Langdon of Dunn, North Carolina; his Oma and Opa, Tom and Vicki Houston of Woodward, Grand parents Sam and Norma Langdon of McGees Crossroads, NC, Grandma Misty Kormann of Blue Grass Iowa; great-grandparents, Charles and Nancy Dougherty of Woodward; brothers: Anthony Wellmeier, Cody Holem, Dylan Holem, Hunter Holem; sisters, Kathryn Sims-Kormann, Kerrie Kormann, Sawyer Houston, and Scarlett Langdon; other relatives and many friends.

Kalub was preceded in death by his dad, Kye Kormann and his grandfather Kevin Kormann.
