Joyce Prewitt

Joyce Griffith Prewitt, age 80, of Sylva, formerly of Asheville passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011 at Mountain Trace Nursing Center. Joyce was born September 28, 1931 in Wofford, KY. She is the daughter of the late Ova and Laura (Mowery) Griffith. She enjoyed Crocheting and donating her items to Christian Ministries. She is survived by 6 children: Lena Richie ( Oval ) of Sylva Linda Blanton of Houston, TX Roy Prewitt ( Jacqueline ) of Corbin, KY Ronal Prewitt ( Betsy ) of Leicester, NC Glenn Prewitt ( Pauline 0 of Sylva Bobby Prewitt ( Joan ) of Michigan 8 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren 4 Brothers- Bill, Arley, Meace and Tony Griffith 3 Sisters- Ruth, Dean and Gere Several Nieces and nephews also survive No Services are planned at this time.
