Johnnie Dee Painter Sr.

Johnnie Dee Painter Sr., 94, passed away early Wednesday morning May 31, 2023
A native of Jackson County, Johnnie was the son of the late Walter Burke Painter Sr and Annie Lee Frizzell Painter
He was a graduate of Webster High School and was a Member of Lovedale Baptist Church where he was a Trustee and served on various other committees. He was a licensed building contractor and built numerous homes and businesses in and around Jackson County. 
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife; Margaret Adams Painter, their daughter Patricia Painter Shephard, his two sisters; Ruth Snyder and Mary Painter and a brother; Walter Painter Jr.
He is survived by his sons; Johnnie Dee (Leslie) Painter Jr of Napa, CA., 
                                               Doug (Mary Anne) Painter of Cullowhee
Sister; Doris Monteith of Sylva
Brother; Harrison (Ina) Painter of Knoxville, TN
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday June 3, 2023 at Lovedale Baptist Church with the Revs. Mike Farmer, Earl Holden and David Powell officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 pm till 2:00 prior to the Service at the Church. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
