John Cannon Stone

JOHN CANNON STONE JR., 62, died suddenly at his beloved cabin in Sylva, North Carolina. He was born on July 9, 1949 in Charlotte, NC. He was the son of the late J.C. and Margaret Stone. He graduated from Lakeside High School in Atlanta, GA and the University of Georgia. He was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity and was also an Eagle Scout. John is survived by his three children Amy (Henry) Adderley of Hamilton, Bermuda, John Cannon (Leslie) Stone III, of Marietta, Georgia, and Wesley Stone of Decatur, Alabama. He is also survived by his mother Margaret and his sisters Sally (Jerry) Brantley and Marsha Hibbard. He had three grandchildren that he adored, Jack and Margaret Adderley and John Cannon Stone IV. A celebration of his life will be held on April 11th at 2:00 pm at Oak Grove United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oak Grove United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 1722 Oak Grove Rd., Decatur, GA 30033.
