John Michael Sistare II

John Michael Sistare II, age 48 of Walhalla, SC,  passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024. He was born on August 7, 1975 in Oakland, California, to the late John Michael and Janice Lane Sistare.

Michael was a true friend to all with a heart of pure gold; an icon even to those around him. He enjoyed canoeing, chess, and spending time with his dogs, Calvin and Thor. He enjoyed all sports, but most importantly Duke basketball. He loved his grand babies with all his heart and was the absolute center of his family.

Michael, a true-blue collar king excelled in anything he put his mind to. He was an electrician, a fire fighter, a diesel mechanic, and pro softball men's player.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Autumn Sistare (LeBlanc); his sons, Christian Sage Kinsey (Destiney), Michael Gage Sistare (Brittney), and Tyler Lee Green; his mother, Janice Sistare;  grandkids, Evelynn, Liam, Vivienne, and Aspyn; niece, Savanna and nephew, James.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Michael Sistare, and his brother, James Andrew Sistare "Jimmy".

The family will receive friends at 10:30AM, on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Christ Church of the Valley, 118 US-64, Cashiers, NC 28717. A Celebration of Life will follow at Mica's restaurant at 2:00PM.  Pastor Jacob Tedder will officiate.
